An old favorite for the "usin' horse folks" as well
as the ropers, these bits take on a new look with
hand-engraved sterling silver-mounted cheeks and a large
selection of loose-jaw mouthpieces. The Cavalry Cheeks
are designed so a horse cannot "lip them," while the
Argentine and C-Bit are great transition training bits.
Cowboy Tack high-quality tool steel will oxidize during use
and turn a rich chestnut color.

they're designed to fit a horse's mouth.
Balanced ports are wide to provide plenty of
tongue relief and bars are either overlaid or
inlaid with copper to promote a "wet
mouth." Headstall loops are either
"long oval" or have a set-back loop for
the curb strap, to eliminate pinching at the
corners of the mouth. The high-quality tool
steel used in Cowboy Tack bits will oxidize,
developing a rich chestnut-colored coating that is
perfect background for the sterling silver hand
engraved mountings. This is often called
"sweet iron" by horsemen since the
animals seem to like the taste of the oxidized
steel.
