Cowboy Tack began when a young Texas cowboy started cowboyin’ for the well-known Haythorn Land and Cattle Company north of Ogallala, Nebraska. Catching horses from the remuda one morning, the wagon boss noticed that one horse had a cinch sore. It was traced to that Texas cowboy, and the new cinch he’d purchased. Working at night and utilizing an old buckle that was proven not to sore a horse, the young cowboy strung a new mohair cinch-the same design and quality you depend on today from Cowboy Tack.

That was the beginning of Cowboy Tack, born out of pure necessity! Over the years our product line has grown from that first cinch. We now have over 1800 other quality handmade products. Each one built with concentration on quality, fit and design.
